1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that websites place on your device to store information. They can be set by the website you are visiting (first-party cookies) or by third parties whose services are embedded in the page (third-party cookies). Cookies can be session-based (deleted when you close the browser) or persistent (they stay for a defined period). Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, pixels, and tags. In this policy, “cookies” refers to all of these.
2. Why we use cookies
We use cookies for four purposes: to keep the site working, to remember your preferences, to measure how the site is used so we can improve it, and to understand which marketing channels bring the right prospects to us. We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles or to sell your data.
3. Categories of cookies we use
3.1 Strictly necessary
These cookies are required for the site to function: routing, page transitions, form submission, security tokens that prevent cross-site request forgery, and rate limiting on our lead capture endpoint. They cannot be turned off and do not require consent under most privacy laws. Examples include short-lived session cookies set by our hosting provider Cloudflare and by the TanStack Router.
3.2 Preferences
These cookies remember choices you make, such as a dismissed cookie banner or the last section you interacted with, so the experience is consistent between visits. They are first-party and expire within 12 months.
3.3 Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-5TJ71R684F) to understand aggregate site usage: which pages are read, how long visitors spend on them, how many people complete the contact form, and which sources send us qualified visitors. Google Analytics sets cookies including _ga and _ga_<id> that expire after up to 24 months. We enable IP anonymization and do not enable Google Signals or ad personalization. The data is used in aggregate; we do not attempt to re-identify individuals from it.
3.4 Marketing and attribution
When you arrive from a campaign we run, we may store UTM parameters in local storage so that if you eventually fill out our contact form we can attribute the lead to the right channel. We do not run retargeting pixels from ad networks on this website today. If we ever add one (for example, a LinkedIn Insight Tag), we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent before it fires.
4. Third-party services that may set cookies
The third parties currently able to set cookies through our site are: Google (Analytics and Fonts), Cloudflare (security and performance), and YouTube (only if we embed a video on a specific page). Each third party is subject to its own privacy and cookie policies. We recommend reviewing them if you want the full picture.
5. Your choices
5.1 Browser controls
You can accept or reject cookies through your browser settings, delete cookies already stored, and set your browser to notify you when a cookie is set. Instructions are available on the help pages of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge, and Brave. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may cause parts of the site to stop working, including form submission.
5.2 Opting out of analytics
To opt out of Google Analytics on all sites, install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. You can also send a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal from your browser; when we detect it, we treat the visit as a request to opt out of analytics and any future advertising cookies.
5.3 Do Not Track
There is no industry standard for how websites should respond to Do Not Track signals. We honor GPC, which is the emerging standard supported by regulators.
6. Consent
Where required by law (for example in the EEA and the UK), we ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies through a consent banner. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time by clicking the “Cookie settings” link that will appear in the footer where consent is required. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
7. How long cookies stay
Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies stay for the duration listed above (typically up to 24 months for analytics and 12 months for preferences). You can delete cookies at any time using your browser.
8. Server logs
Separate from cookies, our hosting provider records standard server logs including IP address, request path, response status, user agent, and timestamp. We use logs to debug, monitor performance, and defend against abuse. Logs are retained for up to 30 days and then deleted or aggregated.
9. AI crawlers and content usage
We publish a robots.txt and an llms.txt at the root of the site describing which crawlers are welcome and how our content may be used by answer engines. This information does not involve cookies, but we mention it here for transparency because AI visibility is our core business. If you operate an AI crawler and need clarification, contact us at hello@aeomiamiagency.com.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. When we do, we update the “last updated” date above and, for material changes, add a short note near our cookie banner for 30 days.
